Welcome to ProductiveMuslim.com
Thursday, October 15, 2009 Dear Visitor,
Assalamu’alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
Thank you for visiting ProductiveMuslim.com. My name is ProductiveMuslim and I’m here to make your life a Productive one - inshaAllah!
I’m honoured with your visit and I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about ProductiveMuslim. I want to share with you my story, a story that has changed my life and which resulted in this website!
My story began 3 years ago, when I became obsessed with everything productive! I learnt the latest techniques about productivity; read the major self-help books about being productive, living productive (even sleeping productive!). I subscribed to numerous blogs that brought me the latest info about gadgets/software solutions that would make my life more productive. Even spent a big chunk of my hard-earned money on books, software, gadgets related to productivity.
I truly became a productivity addict (a.k.a workaholic!) and the passion for doing more with less time and resources was always burning within me.
But ... something was missing. With every book i read, every blog I followed, I felt that I wasn’t getting the complete package on how to live a productive life.
I prodded along...thinking deeply about this, questions like “What would be the ultimate Productive lifestyle?” started bothering me. They bothered me because I knew there was an answer but I didn’t know where to look for it!
Then it hit me. Like a brick wall. And I couldn’t believe I was blind to it the whole time. It hit me, that Islam was the answer! and Islam provided the ultimate productive lifestyle! You want proof? We have a living one: Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace be upon him) life as captured in all the seerah books! A truly productive man; he achieved in 23 years what no human can achieve in 100 years.
From that day, I began a new journey. A journey of self-discovery and a journey of knowledge. I started noting the secrets of Productivity in our beautiful Islam. Applying them to my life first, then sharing and discussing with others. I started a diary, then I moved to a blog, and now to a website, and inshaAllah soon, very soon to an independent organisation & consulting group that empowers the young & old to become Productive members of our Ummah inshaAllah! (Make dua! :D)
My ultimate vision: is to make this Ummah the ProductiveUmmah. And leave a legacy that would be an ongoing charity for me when nothing would benefit me except whatever little good deeds I leave behind.
I pray that Allah (SWT) make our life for His sake, and our actions for His sake, and our words for His sake. Ameen.
Yours sincerely,
