I want to convince you. ‘Convince me to BELIEVE what?’ Convince you that you can do and be more than the trajectory you may now be on. I look around the Muslim community and there are so many people, so many. But how few the chiefs are amongst them, how few. And not just chiefs missing, but chiefs with complimentary visions strategically lifting the Ummah with proverbial inflatable buoys from opposing sides of the boat, how few.
I want to convince you. ‘Convince me to DO what?’ Firstly to convince you of what NOT to do. To NOT follow the distractions dangling in your face, and instead follow your heart’s passion. To NOT follow society’s empty formula for success, formulas that go against Islam – and you know deep down that Allah would not put success in something he forbade. To convince you to NOT copy others, but to creatively blaze your own trail for others to follow.
I want to convince you. Really? Actually, no not really. I really don’t care about you, I care about what it is that you do. Isn’t it our actions that make us who we are? If you step up, you have my attention, but who cares about that really. Really, it’s Allah’s attention that you seek, that we all seek, and it’s amazing how when Allah is pleased with you everyone seems to find out and benefit from the tree you grew, that Allah allowed you to grow. Really.
How about you? Is there anyone you want to convince. Why? Do you want to convince them with your words, or do you want to convince them with your actions? Too soon we as humans want to jump off the ‘take action’ train and sit on the bench of consulting others. There will be time for that, fret not. Right now, you need to get back on the train, settle down for a long haul of production, of sleepless nights, and hey, who knew that so many on-board passengers would seek your consul.
When you were born, you had a potential unrealized. As you grew older, the possibility of whether or not you’d realize your potential waned and swelled with the mid-term choices you made. And now, here you are, and here I am, deciding in this moment if we will step away from the chatter of Internet surfing today, and instead step up and take the first step towards the end of your greatest life.
I hope I’ve convinced you. Who knew? :)
